We all use URL shorteners to accommodate Tweets and to cloak affiliate links. I have been using bit.ly in my tweets and also to cloak my naked affiliate links.
Here are the reasons for my voting bit.ly as the best URL shortener.
Recently, I cloaked one of my affiliate links that promoted a big list of high paying affiliate programs.
I made a blog post titled "List of high paying affiliate programs" (http://onemoresales.com/2011/11/29/list-high-paying-affiliate-programs/).
Again, cross posted it here (http://income-opportunities.blogspot.com/2011/12/who-would-buy-list-of-high-paying.html).
How bit.ly tracks and monitors the performance of the URLs shortened by it:
Please view the following 5 images taken from my bit.ly account. These images report the monitoring and tracking of the shortened affiliate link bit.ly/rOEKsd
Image 1: Shows 22 clicks on the bit.ly link.

Image 2: The dates of clicks

Image 3: The source of originating clicks

Image 4: Clicks originating countries

Image 5: Sites that generated the clicks

BTW, so far three people have purchased the list of high paying affiliate programs.
3 sales out of 22 clicks is an excellent conversion-right?
Thank you bit.ly for a nice support!
