MTurk account suspension started again.

Yesterday, I received two calls inquiring about my MTurk training services. After speaking to the callers for a few minutes, they told me that though they have earned a decent amount, they were shocked to find their account suspended. They both asked me if I know of any ways to get their account revived.

So, Amazon's cruel whip is up again and as usual, they are not transparent in their actions while making sure they are only interested in protecting the job requesters.

This account suspension is faced by Indian members only. There are talks in the forums that certain job requesters complain of inefficient work mainly to avoid paying the workers. Amazon pushes the suspension button without investigating the complaint.

I have advised both of my callers to stop working for MTurk. There are more sites similar to Amazon's Mturk.

I have seen sites similar to Mechanical turk, but is there a single one that is any good? All the ones I have tried have had an even worse proportion of spam to legitimate work. In fact from what I could see they were practically 100% spam.

Reason being, my mturk account was recently suspended for apparently no reason as well. I have completed over 7000 hits and have an acceptance rate of around 99.4%. I have never done anything unethical on mturk to my knowledge, and if they would just tell me what it is I did, I would be willing to make sure I didn't do it anymore.

They need to ban the hundreds of spam requesters who post their crap hits under the guise of "work", not us legitimate workers!

How they treat workers is reprehensible.

If they won't let me work, I won't buy from them either.

I am now officially boycotting Amazon.

I encourage you to do the same.
